Many women seek chiropractic care for musculoskeletal complaints, such as low back pain. The Webster Technique is utilized to address sacral misalignments in order to balance pelvic structure.

Chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and labor. Tense muscles and ligaments can cause uterine nerve interference, pelvic misalignment and the tightening of pelvic muscles and ligaments preventing the baby from comfortably assuming the best position for birth.

The Webster Technique is a safe, effective and specific method of evaluation, sacral analysis and diversified adjustment used by Doctor of Chiropractic. Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother, caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and fetus malposition. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation and/or sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
